This working exercise aims to make practices in sand-basting and embossing aluminum. I firstly taped the metal piece with masking tape then made a Crayon Shin-chan stencil drawing and carved out the part where I want to be sandblasted since it played with negative space.
In the process embossing aluminum, a variety of tools were used to stretch and leave marks on the aluminum, therefore emphasis the illuminate and shade of the drawing and create dimensions.

The intention started with the idea of an exhibition I have visited in Shanghai named “Trees”. Since trees are the very origin of every piece of wood. It is important for an artist to pay his tribute to the first project using the material of wood.
Through this project, it allows me to practice carving technique and make a tree trunk out of a wood brick while make the decorative pattern that imitate the real tree bark.
It will be colored using acrylic paint to achieve an artistic effect.

Now it is the time for repetition. As art is always known in a form of repeating. I assure that there is always something we never get tired of seeing, as it has withstood the testing of time.
My classic of all time is a mini cooper car, it spiced the elegant, timeless exterior design and extraordinary karting like driving experience with trigue.
I decide to take the advantage of gelatin for its kitchen friendliness to make a mold of it and fill it with plaster to make the old classic newly appare.
